Abstract Snow spots emerged from the surface of aluminium profiles after alkali etching are discussed.When Zn is more than 0.02wt%,and Ga is more than 0.03wt%,aluminium profiles of 6063 alloy anodized can easily create snow spots on their surfaces.Industrial experiments showed that to produce hollow large cross-section profile can easily create snow spots in summer with 6063alloy ingot which contains Zn 0.027wt%~0.057wt%,but the snow spots can'tbe easily appeared in winter with these ingots.

1997年夏季我厂生产的6063铝合金型材,经脱脂和碱蚀后,铝型材表面上出现了雪花状斑点或雪花痕腐蚀(见图1)。雪斑的大小不一,较大的直径在5.2mm。有的铝型材表面上的雪斑密密麻麻,每平方厘米面积上多达90个。6m长的铝型材上雪斑点的分布是不规律的:有的是这一端有,另一端没有;有的是这个面有,另一个面没有;还有的是几个面都有。

1997年6月中旬生产的60.363t铝型材,出现雪斑13.867t,占22.97%,整个夏季铝型材生产中,共判为雪斑型材64.637t。雪斑缺陷给工厂生产造成了损失。为了探讨雪花状斑点型材的质量缺陷,查清原因,我们进行了跟踪试验。
1 试验
1.1 取样分析Zn含量
对氧化后出现雪斑的型材,取样分析Zn含量。见表1。
